I don't understand the 1 star review. This is a good flavor and not knowing about a pre-existing allergy has nothing to do with the product or manufacturer. In what way is this company responsible for allergy testing your daughter?

Hi. I wanted to point out some allergy information about the mango sorbet for anyone who may be unaware.

We purchased the Premium Collection 8 Pack Variety Box from our local BJ's, which contains the Tropical Mango flavor, in addition to Heavenly Coconut and Sweet Pineapple.

My daughter has eaten mango many, many times in her life, be it fresh fruit, ice cream, etc. This time however, she quickly began reacting with an itchy throat and stopped eating. She quickly took some Benadryl and she thankfully recovered without a trip to the ER. What caused this? We took a look at the back of the box. The mango sorbet CONTAINS CHICORY. A little online research gave us our answer. PEOPLE WHO ARE ALLERGIC TO MUGWORT ARE MUCH MORE LIKELY TO ALSO HAVE AN ALLERGY TO CHICORY. Now, we were aware of her mugwort allergy but were not aware of the chicory OR the connection between them.

I'm extremely thankful that things worked out ok for us, but I felt compelled to share our story for others who may also be unaware.

By contrast, Costco's Variety 10 Pack, contains the Passionate Mango flavor, which does NOT contain chicory. We have purchased this in the past and never had a problem.
